a quick hello

hi all!
I just felt like posting. :)
hmmmm the same thing has been going on around here. We are thankfully not sick at the moment, but with all this snow and more 'cabin fever' days, who knows! Unfortunately i didn't get to take pictures of Tyler as he was playing in the snow yesterday. He hated getting ready to go out with the snow pants, hat and coat etc etc... I tried not to crack up as he tried to get himself up off the floor after we got boots on... it was definately a "Christmas Story" moment!!!! If you don't know what i mean, you have to see "A Christmas Story"... the best holiday movie!

I've come to the realization that i am now a SAHM Oprah addict. I tape her shows and watch them when i can. She had on the other day all the Dancing with the Stars champions and the new cast for the upcoming season. I really do watch too much tv for my own good. :) Next season of Dancing should be really good.

anyway, i guess that's all for now. i'm just blabbering.... i'm bored waiting at work for closing time. yeah... i know i shouldn't be writing this, but it's all good :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I just love how kids get excited about every holiday... big or small. I remember decorating a paper lunch bag to tape onto my desk in school and being so nervous and excited to see what i would get for valentine's day. Did anyone else do that? ;)
I made some valentines for Tyler's class and they came out cute. Simple and perfect. I used some pocket notes that I had from last year. enjoy!

Gram's 90th Birthday party and Scrapbook....

Here are some pics of the dinner and of our family... In the cake pictures, I'm on the left holding sarah and Tyler is in the white shirt by Babci. That's what they (the 10 kids) call their Great Grandma--it's Polish for Grandma. That's my dad holding the lighter for the kids to blow out... the 5 yr old loved that!! I'm looking at these pictures and i can't get over the fact that this is our family for holidays and everything... yup. 22 people.....

I think i'm going to make her another spread for her 90th birthday pics since these came out so good... and everyone else will have pictures to use. Doesn't Gram look Amazing?!!!!

Before we all ate, we made a toast to her... then my dad says "You see this (gesturing around the table), this is all your fault!" :) It was so cute and she laughed so wonderfully!! It is such a blessing to have family.

Here are the pictures of the Scrapbook I made. I just love the way they turned out!!! The blank spread for her 90th was scrap-lifted from the Year in a Day class from last year... and all these photos are scanned, retouched and printed because i used some of my family's pics. My favorites are the wedding spreads. :) Enjoy!!!

"A bag full of memories..."

yes, I "finished" the scrapbook for my gramma... it came out so amazing!!! i surprised myself!!! :)
When we were leaving, Gram came up to me and said that she loved the gift and that it was

"A bag full of memories. Because if you don't have those, you have nothing."

i'm going to post pictures in a few... The party for her was wonderful and she was very happy to get the album. i know she is probably looking through it over and over again at home. There was a poem that my cousin wrote that was absolutely beautiful. I start to cry everytime i read it! There were also lots of b/w pics from when my dad and aunt were little. I'm actually going to keep going and bring her a few more pages this weekend. She is just the most amazing woman. I can't even begin to imagine all that she's seen and done. And she keeps going! What a miracle life is.
